Kunle Ade-Ojo is the Managing Director of Toyota Nigeria Limited. He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Reading and also holds an MSc in Automotive Product Engineering from Cranfield University, both in the United Kingdom.
He possesses vast knowledge of the automobile business, having worked extensively with Toyota USA. Kunle, a Global Management Associate, worked in different operational departments at Toyota Motor Sales, USA. He returned to Nigeria as the Business and Strategic Development Manager at the automobile giant’s Nigerian unit and rose through the ranks. He was the Executive Director at TNL until his appointment in 2014 as the Managing Director of the company. He is an astute business administrator and inspirational leader.
To his credit, within his second year of leading the company as managing director, he oversaw the establishment of the Toyota Assembly Plant in Nigeria and supervised the test of the first Hiace bus assembled at the plant. He has attended various Executive Management Programmes at both the Lagos Business School and the Wits Business School, South Africa. He is a member of the Council of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a member of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria.
A consummate professional, Kunle was recognized as Managing Director of the Year at the Nigeria Auto Journalists Awards 2015 for his outstanding performance in piloting the affairs of Toyota Nigeria to greater heights, even in a recessed economy.
