Bashir Adewale Adeniyi (Comptroller General, Nigeria Customs Service)

Bashir Adewale Adeniyi dsm fnipr psc (+) is the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), with over 30 years experience in Customs administration covering strategic and operational responsibilities.

Adeniyi has built strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborated effectively to ensure efficient and effective movement of goods across borders over the course of his career.

The diligent Customs officer who is known to maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, is committed to continuously improving his knowledge and skills.

He is a Fellow and has been Vice-President of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations. He is also a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).

He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Relations from the Obafemi Awolowo University – Ile-Ife, Osun State in 1987, and a Master of Arts Degree in Communication Science, from the Universitaire Svizzera D’ Italiana (USI) — Lugano-Switzerland, in 2013.
