Honda Automobile Western Africa is a fully owned subsidiary of Honda Motor Co., Ltd, Japan. After its incorporation on April 23, 2013, it started business with the importation of brand new Honda cars in the same year and moved on to add the importation of Honda Genuine Motor Oil (HGMO) and Genuine Honda Spare Parts in early 2014.

Following the introduction of the Nigerian Auto Policy, Honda Automobile Western Africa commenced the assembling of Honda vehicles, starting with Semi Knock Down (SKD) at its assembly plant in Ota, Ogun State, in 2015. This factory is the first Honda plant for vehicle assembly in Africa. It produced and launched the first SKD Honda Accord assembled in Nigeria on July 10, 2015, after attaining the status of Recognized Manufacturer/Assembler of Vehicles.

The firm is the sole distributor of new Honda cars, HGMO, and genuine Honda spare parts in Nigeria.

Honda’s Three Forms of Joy
