Elizade Nigeria Limited started as Elizade Trading Stores in 1968, handling general textile sales. It transformed into Elizade Independent Agencies in 1971 with a focus on automobile marketing. The business expanded quickly, with Toyota as the main product.

In June 1972, the company was formally incorporated as Elizade Nigeria Limited. And for decades, the auto firm remained the exclusive franchise owner of the Toyota brand in Nigeria and consistently sustained the top spot for the brand in the nation’s automobile industry. This remarkable success story is attributable to the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the founder, Chief Michael Ade.Ojo, OON.
