CIG MOTORS COMPANY LIMITED

Choice International Group (CIG Motors), the representative of GAC Motor in Nigeria, commenced operations in 2013 after signing an agreement with Guangzhou Group Automobile Group Co. (GAC Motor) to establish and manage their distribution network in Nigeria and Africa.
CIG Motors initially introduced two GAC models: the GA3 saloon and GS5 SUV. They expanded their offerings with three more models between 2016 and 2017. Currently, the auto company has introduced several GAC Motor models into the Nigerian market, including GA3, GA3S, GS3, GS4, the flagship luxury SUV GS8, and the GN8 mini-space bus. They have also started distributing electric vehicles (EVs) under the Wuling brand, with models like the Macaron, Bingo, and Yep.
In March 2021, CIG Motors signed an agreement with the Lagos State Government to establish a vehicle assembly plant in the Ogba area of the state. This plant, a joint venture between the Lagos State Government and CIG Motors, was inaugurated in October 2023 and has an annual production capacity ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 vehicles.
CIG Motors also introduced a mobility solution called LagRide in conjunction with the Lagos State Government, injecting 1,000 units of the GAC GS3 (a mini-SUV) into the ride-hailing scheme.
More recently, CIG Motors signed another technical assembly plant agreement with Jiangxi Jiangling Motors Import and Export Co. Limited. This partnership expands their vehicle models to include commercial vehicles and cars from GAC, ZNA, Dongfeng (DFAC), and JMC brands. CIG Motors is the exclusive representative of several leading Chinese automotive giants in Nigeria and Africa, including GAC Motor, Wuling Motors, JMC Motors, Dongfeng Motors, and FAW Group.
